UK: Aerogramme Containing an Enclosure

UK 9d aerogramme (Greiner #40) sent from BATH 16. NOV. 1969 to Upper Darby, Pennsylvania/US.

The air letter contained an enclosure, a photo:

“… In fact have just decided to enclose a snap of us taken by the swimming pool at our hotel there - you may keep it! This airletter may go ordinary mail as a result but I’ll take a chance - if you have any extra to pay on it I’ll send you something to repay the money you had to lay out - you name it.”

Instructional handstamps “CONTAINS ENCLOSURE / FORWARDED BY / ORDINARY MAIL” and “INSUFFICIENTLY PREPAID / FOR TRANSMISSION BY AIR” in purple. “PAR AVION” routing instruction obliterated with three parallel bars in purple.
