UK: 6d Aerogramme Used in Australia in 1949
UK 6d air letter, uprated with an 1d Australian stamp, and sent from Prahran (8 AU 49) in Victoria, Australia, to Germany.
The 1d stamp most likely was added because Australia’s air letter rate was 7d.
Interestingly not taxed by the Australian postal authorities.
