From the 1950s on, when privately manufactured aerogramme forms were first accepted for posting in Australia, these aerogramme forms were marked with an approval text, e.g. "Approved by Postmaster-General for acceptance as Aerogramme No. 2". The approval number related to a license holder, not to an individual aerogramme form.
In nore recent time,. this approval text is missing. The aerogramme form above, used in 2003, only has an imprint on the back panel ("Post Office Prefferred"), next to the Australia Post logo.
